YouTube Long Form Video Editor (Project Based → Potential Full Time) - Remote

We are building something serious, and we need a hard working, long-term thinking editor to grow with us.

Our YouTube channel covers Educational Finance content for Military members and veterans in the U.S. We are not looking for someone who just knows how to use Premiere Pro. We are looking for someone who understands why viewers click away and how to stop them from doing it.

Role Description

This is a contract-based, remote opportunity for a YouTube Long Form Video Editor, with potential to transition into a full-time position. The role involves editing long-form YouTube videos, collaborating with the creative team, implementing feedback to improve video quality, and ensuring videos align with the brand's style and mission. Additional responsibilities include sourcing and organizing video assets, optimizing videos for platform-specific requirements, and staying up-to-date with YouTube trends and video production techniques.

You will edit long-form talking-head videos averaging 15 minutes in length. Your job is to transform raw footage into something military members and veterans would actually want to watch all the way through.

That means tight English dialogue cuts, strategic b-roll, sound effects, music design, motion graphics, and a visual change every 5 to 10 seconds.

Reference style: Joey Nguyen, Charlie Chang, Vincent Chan, Humphrey Yang, and other popular American YouTubers who create talking head educational finance content.

What we offer:

- 4 to 8 videos per month with consistent work

- Base: $5 per finished minute (approx. $75 per video if a video is 15 minutes long)

- Top performers: up to $10 per finished minute

- Estimated monthly earnings: $300 to $600+ USD

What we're looking for:

• Retention-first mindset while editing
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or similar
• Understanding of YouTube content strategies and video formatting
• Strong Communication skills for collaborative teamwork and creative feedback implementation
• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and YouTube audiences
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently in a remote environment
• Passion for content creation tailored to mission-driven audiences, particularly the military community
• Strong written English, reliable, and deadline-driven
• Computer capable of 4K editing with stable internet
