Job Description This is a remote position. The Opportunity: At Pentoz, we’re redefining how eCommerce brands build, scale, and optimize their online presence. As a Volusion Developer, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining eCommerce websites on the Volusion platform for clients across industries including retail, fashion, health, and electronics. You will work closely with designers, marketers, and project managers to deliver seamless online shopping experiences. This is a hands-on development role for professionals who have a strong understanding of Volusion’s architecture, template system, and API integrations. You Will Be Responsible For: Developing and customizing responsive eCommerce websites using the Volusion platform Implementing and editing HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and Volusion-specific template code (VOLT) Integrating third-party applications, payment gateways, shipping APIs, and custom features Troubleshooting bugs, optimizing site speed, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility Supporting product, category, and content setup using Volusion’s admin interface Performing regular updates, platform migrations, and implementing best practices for SEO Collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver user-friendly storefronts Creating and maintaining technical documentation for ongoing development and support This Role Is For You If: You have 2+ years of experience working with the Volusion eCommerce platform You are skilled in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and basic SQL You are familiar with VOLT (Volusion’s proprietary template language) and API usage You have experience working with custom themes and optimizing user interfaces You are detail-oriented, self-driven, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment You have a working knowledge of SEO, responsive design, and performance optimization Bonus Points If You Have: Experience with Volusion API integrations or migrating from/to Volusion Knowledge of other eCommerce platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, or BigCommerce Understanding of analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and heatmaps Exposure to CRM tools, email marketing systems, and automation platforms A portfolio of live Volusion websites or custom-coded templates/plugins What We Offer: Full ownership of eCommerce projects with creative input Competitive salary with performance incentives Flexible remote work culture and collaborative global team Exposure to clients in the US, Europe, and Asia Clear path for growth into roles such as eCommerce Technical Lead, UX Strategist, or Solution Architect About Pentoz: Pentoz is a future-forward technology company driving digital transformation across industries.
