Volunteer: Social Media Content Manager 3 hours per week Project Details What We Need Join us for a 30-minute Zoom call to learn about Body Banter's mission and vision, and our current content creation pillars. Create three weekly, engaging and bilingual social media content pieces that promotes Body Banter's services, highlights our ongoing/upcoming activities, and advocates our mission and vision. Review media projects (IG posts and reels) created by Body Banter's youth mental health advocates, ensure content is aligned with Body Banter's social media guidelines (to be provided), and format appropriately to be posted on Body Banter's social media channels. Create content templates and content creation guidelines that will allow future volunteers to easily assist in content creation Background Body Banter is a HK-based S88 registered charity that empowers youth voices in conversations about body image. We are hoping to strengthen our social media presence through sharing high-quality posts on our Instagram account. As our social media manager, we would love for you to help us (1) create at least 3 bilingual posts per week that highlight Body Banter's vision, mission, and services and/or discuss a topic related to body image issues, (2) review content created by youth advocates involved in our programming and prepare this content to be posted in an engaging way on our Instagram account, and (3) create content templates and content creation guidelines that future volunteers can easily use to create content. The volunteer we are looking for should have a strong psychology background (at least a bachelor's degree in psychology), be able to read and write Cantonese and English at a native proficiency, and be able to work independently. They should also be comfortable with using Canva and have prior experience in content creation and social media management. Previous experience working with youth and adolescents and graphic design skills are preferred but not required. What We Have Access to our past Instagram post templates (on Canva), access to Body Banter's social media guidelines document, and access to the Body Banter staff team for additional guidance. Why this is important One of our key organisational objectives this year is to reach more local HK youth with our programs and workshops. We believe that strengthening our social media presence and creating bilingual content will move us closer to achieving this objective.
