VoIP / Telecom Developer Needed (FreeSWITCH + SMS Gateway)

Role Description

This is a contract remote role for a VoIP/Telecom Developer specializing in FreeSWITCH and SMS Gateways. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining VoIP and telecom solutions, including customizing and configuring FreeSWITCH platforms. The developer will integrate and optimize SMS gateway services and troubleshoot telecom systems. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to assess system requirements and ensure performance, security, and scalability is also a key part of the position.

Qualifications

• Experience with VoIP technologies, including FreeSWITCH and protocols such as SIP and RTP
• Strong understanding and implementation of SMS gateways, including integration and delivery optimization
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, or similar
• Solid knowledge of telecom networks, carrier interconnects, and international voice services
• Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) for managing telecom data
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with experience in system optimization
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in remote, collaborative team environments
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field (equivalent experience may be considered)
