Role Description This is a remote, contract Video Editor role focused on creating engaging video content that reflects Sabi Sweat’s inclusive mission and community. The Video Editor will edit raw footage from events, classes, and social content into polished videos optimized for multiple platforms (social media, website, campaigns). Day-to-day work includes organizing and assembling clips, adding transitions, sound, captions, and graphics, and collaborating with the creative team to maintain brand voice and visual identity. The role also involves color grading, basic sound cleanup, and exporting files in the correct formats and aspect ratios for different channels. The Video Editor will work closely with marketing and community leads to iterate on content, incorporate feedback, and meet agreed deadlines.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, including assembling footage, trimming, and pacing to tell clear, compelling stories.
• Proficiency in Video Color Grading to ensure consistent, on-brand visual tone across all content.
• Experience with Motion Graphics and Graphics for titles, lower thirds, simple animations, and social-friendly visual elements.
• Comfort working with common editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) and basic audio cleanup.
• Portfolio demonstrating short-form and/or social-first video content, ideally in wellness, lifestyle, or community-focused spaces.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including openness to feedback and iterative creative processes.
• Understanding of social media platforms and best practices for video content (e.g., Reels, TikTok, YouTube, and stories).
