About The Role
StrongSuit is seeking a highly skilled and motivated UX Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in translating frontier AI capabilities into intuitive and efficient lawyer workflows, significantly reducing cognitive load and enhancing user experience across our platform. You will own the entire design process, from research and information architecture to wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes, ensuring that every aspect of the user journey is optimized for clarity and effectiveness. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-growth startup environment, embracing ambiguity and rapid iteration to deliver impactful design solutions. Your work will directly influence how legal professionals interact with our platform, making complex AI-driven workflows accessible and user-friendly. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and research teams to push the boundaries of legal tech design and innovation.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience designing SaaS or workflow products, with a portfolio demonstrating relevant work
- Proficiency in Figma, including auto-layout, variants, and prototyping features
- Experience utilizing AI tools for design, especially in prototyping AI-driven workflows
- Proven track record of shipping data-dense or professional-grade tools and improving key metrics such as conversion, NPS, or retention
- Understanding of generative AI workflows and familiarity with AI technologies and their integration into user experiences
- Basic knowledge of front-end constraints, including React components, CSS, and accessibility standards
- Strong soft skills, including clear communication, ownership mentality, problem-solving, and collaboration in ambiguous environments
- Passion for AI and building category-defining products, with a high work ethic and dedication
- Optional: Experience in LegalTech, user research, motion design, or engineering perspectives on AI
- Design degree is a plus
Responsibilities
- Transform frontier AI capabilities into user-friendly lawyer workflows that enhance productivity and reduce cognitive load
- Rapidly prototype, user-test, refine, and ship design solutions in an iterative manner
- Own the complete design stack, including research, information architecture, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and quality assurance
- Redesign onboarding processes, training modules, and the "prosumer" sales funnel to improve user engagement and conversion
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and research, to align design solutions with technical feasibility and strategic goals
- Contribute to a culture of innovation by exploring new design techniques, AI integrations, and workflow improvements
- Participate in user research activities, gather insights, and translate findings into effective design patterns
- Maintain a focus on accessibility, usability, and visual consistency across all platform components
