TMS Psychiatric Physician Job Type Occasional (<20) LFS is looking for a board certified psychiatric physician to join our team in Lincoln to oversee TMS treatment services at our Health 360 location. Experience with TMS is preferred but on the job training is available. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about serving diverse populations in a team-based care model.” Position Summary: The Psychiatric Physician provides medication management and clinical services to clients. This individual provides comprehensive client care through a team-based approach with services that include psychiatric assessments, consultations, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, patient education, and consultation with other staff. Job Duties: Conduct psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, and supportive psychotherapy. Provide psychiatric consultation and crisis intervention as needed. Deliver in-person and telehealth medication management, including initial treatment, follow-up, and side effect monitoring. Provide clinical oversight for transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) services including assessment of each individual’s suitability for TMS, obtaining informed consent and managing the daily administration of TMS treatment and reviewing the clinical progress. Provide specialized medication management treatments including but not limited to esketamine (e.g. Spravato) and medication assisted treatment (MAT) for persons with opioid use disorder (OUD), alcohol use disorder (AUD), and tobacco/nicotine use disorders. Utilize appropriate medication based on best practice and complete all required documentation for pre-authorizations for medication. Order labs and other supportive tests based on best practices. Review physical health assessments and collect current and past medical history. Complete all medical record entries after patient contact and comply with additional requirements related to documentation, coding, confidentiality, etc. Maintain good relationships with other healthcare organizations and referral sources to assure continuity of care for clients. Engage in continuous quality improvement and maintain CCBHC certification standards. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and conduct case conferences as needed. Provide supervision, coaching, and consultation to clinicians and clinical staff to enhance the integrated clinical and leadership skills, including but not limited to peer reviews, etc. Provide clinical supervision and oversight to interns and residents as needed. Position Competencies: Communication Skills (Verbal & Written) Critical Thinking Organizational Skills Empathy Education and Experience: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution; board certified in psychiatry. Current active, unrestricted licensure as a specialty physician in the state of Nebraska. Current federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate. Able to be credentialed with all necessary payer sources, including Medicaid and Medicare. Up-to-date clinical practice of psychiatry including the recovery model, strengths-based treatment, dual diagnosis treatment, and medication-assisted treatment with client/family involvement. Experience working with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapies preferred. Willingness to participate in TMS training/certification required. Minimum two years of behavioral health experience preferred. Experience working with interpreters & individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds, etc. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Hybrid work environment (in office and remote) Travel to various locations to support client services, as needed and as applicable by region.
