Role Description
We are a global manufacturer of residential solar inverters and energy storage systems, working closely with professional installers and distributors across North America.
We are seeking an Electrical Technical Support Specialist to support our solar and battery storage products. This role is ideal for someone with an electrical or energy-related background who enjoys problem-solving, learning complex products, and supporting real-world installations.
You will work directly with solar installers, technicians, and end users, providing technical guidance on inverter configuration, system operation, and troubleshooting. This is a hands-on technical role, not a general IT or software support position.
Key Responsibilities
1.Technical Support & Troubleshooting
Offer technical support for solar inverters and energy storage systems via phone, email, WhatsApp and online meetings. Diagnose faults arising from on-site installation, configuration and daily operation.
2.Installer & Customer Support
Provide professional, patient and precise technical assistance to solar installers and end users. Clearly interpret system running status, parameter settings and practical functions.
3.Product Training & Knowledge Sharing
Take part in regular product training and keep learning updated product functions. Deliver online training and product demonstrations for installers and business partners. Occasional on-site training and industry event attendance required with limited business trips.
4.Case Documentation & Collaboration
Record service cases, troubleshooting solutions and frequent problems. Share technical insights with internal teams to elevate service quality and product expertise.
5.Cross-Regional Collaboration
Cooperate with overseas engineering and support teams to resolve sophisticated technical failures.
Requirements
1.Education / Background
1)Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field;
2)Hands-on experience with solar PV systems, inverters, or battery storage is strongly preferred
2.Technical Skills
1)Solid understanding of electrical systems (AC/DC basics, single-phase systems, wiring concepts);
2)Ability to read wiring diagrams and understand inverter configuration logic;
3)Experience supporting hardware-based systems (not purely software or IT).
3.Communication
1)Fluent, professional English (clear spoken and written communication is essential);
2)Ability to explain technical concepts to non-engineers in a calm and structured manner.
4.Work Style
1)Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment;
2)Strong learning ability and curiosity for complex technical products;
3)Organized, responsible, and comfortable handling real customer issues.
5.Mobility
Valid passport and ability to travel occasionally to the United States or attend industry events (limited frequency).
