About the Role

We are seeking a highly execution-focused Technical Product Owner to join a fast-paced agile team managing high-volume data identification and registry solutions. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and backend engineering execution. You will hold complete tactical ownership over the sprint backlog—transforming ambiguous, high-level product goals into highly detailed, production-ready user stories and robust acceptance criteria.

The ideal candidate thrives on the operational mechanics of Scrum, displays exceptional documentation discipline, and understands the backend technical boundaries (like APIs and data architectures) required to keep engineering teams moving at peak velocity.

Key Responsibilities

• Backlog & Story Architecture: Write, refine, and manage highly detailed user stories, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria (Given/When/Then framework) for cross-functional engineering teams.
• Sprint Execution: Run core agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization activities to ensure consistent delivery execution.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the primary conduit between business partners, product stakeholders, and developers to ensure customer needs are efficiently communicated and executed.
• Metrics & Reporting: Track, analyze, and regularly report on sprint progress, product outcomes, delivery velocity, and key operational performance metrics.
• Operational Support: Assist the broader product management organization with documentation, special initiatives, and day-to-day coordination tasks.

Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience acting as a Product Owner within an active Agile/Scrum environment.
• Backlog Tooling: Advanced, hands-on proficiency with Jira and Confluence for managing complex backlogs and project tracking.
• Requirements Crafting: Proven ability to break down complex feature requests into detailed, actionable individual user stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a track record of successfully managing expectations across technical and business stakeholders.
• Operational Agility: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously in a fast-moving environment.
• Vetting Requirements: Must successfully pass standard background checks (including verification of education, employment history, and criminal background) prior to start.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

• Familiarity or exposure to high-volume transaction registries, telecommunications routing, SaaS logistics, or complex data-dependent applications.
• A strong foundational understanding of backend technical constraints, including API structures, data schemas, or database dependencies.
