Technical Artist

Technical Artist We're looking for a Technical Artist who thrives at the intersection of art and engineering. You'll bridge the gap between our rendering engineers and content creation pipelines, ensuring our benchmark scenes are not only breathtaking but also technically optimized to stress-test the latest hardware. If you love solving complex problems while making things look incredible, this role is for you. Responsibilities Develop and maintain art pipelines and tools for benchmark content creation Build procedural content systems and asset workflows that scale Collaborate with rendering engineers to implement new graphics features in artist-friendly ways Profile and optimize art assets for performance without sacrificing visual quality Author technical documentation and best practices for the art pipeline Ensure assets meet technical specifications for various rendering techniques (ray tracing, PBR, etc.) Requirements 3+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in games, real-time visualization, or related fields Strong proficiency in shader authoring (HLSL, GLSL, or node-based systems) Experience with 3D DCC tools (Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Houdini) Solid understanding of real-time rendering pipelines and PBR workflows Scripting/programming skills (Python, C#, or similar) Knowledge of asset optimization techniques (LODs, texture atlasing, draw call reduction) Excellent communication skills to work across art and engineering teams Nice to Have Experience with Vulkan, DirectX 12, or other modern graphics APIs Familiarity with ray tracing content creation and optimization Houdini experience for procedural asset generation Background in real-time rendering for games Understanding of GPU architecture and performance profiling About Evolve Benchmark Evolve Benchmark is the flagship product of Traverse Research, a cutting-edge benchmarking tool designed to measure GPU and AI performance.
