Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Tamil to Hindi Translator. The Translator will be responsible for translating ancient Tamil Nadi manuscripts into Hindi with accuracy and clarity while ensuring cultural and linguistic sensitivity. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting historical content, verifying translations for both literal and contextual accuracy, and collaborating with NadiVedas' team to uphold the authenticity of the readings. The Translator will manage deadlines effectively while maintaining the quality of translations and help in making this significant heritage accessible to Hindi-speaking audiences across the globe. Qualifications Proficiency in Tamil and Hindi, with strong reading, writing, and comprehension skills in both languages Experience in translation with a focus on cultural and historical accuracy Strong research and interpretation skills to understand context and nuances in ancient texts Attention to detail and proficiency in proofreading to ensure high-quality translations Competency in time management and the ability to meet deadlines Familiarity with spiritual or ancient texts is a plus Experience working in a remote environment with effective communication and collaboration skills A background in linguistics, literature, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory
