2. About the Opportunity:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a key role in sourcing, screening, and recommending qualified candidates to support the organization’s hiring objectives. This position ensures a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, collaborates with hiring managers to align recruitment strategies with organizational needs, and contributes to building strong talent pipelines. The role also supports pre-onboarding processes to facilitate smooth integration of new hires.
3. Responsibilities:
• Support the development and execution of recruiting strategies with senior specialists and hiring managers
• Guide interviewers on sourcing techniques and candidate engagement
• Stay updated on industry trends and share insights with the recruitment team
• Assist with employment branding and diversity recruitment initiatives
• Place and monitor job advertisements across various platforms
• Source qualified candidates using databases, job boards, and networking
• Recommend new recruitment sources and techniques
• Collaborate with marketing to enhance employment brand visibility
• Promote referral programs and internal job opportunities
• Streamline recruitment processes for efficiency
• Maintain current job descriptions with hiring managers
• Conduct phone and in-person interviews assessing candidate fit and competencies
• Train hiring managers on advanced interviewing methods
• Coordinate accommodations for candidates during interviews
• Provide market trend and salary information to hiring managers
• Ensure compliance with employment laws during hiring
• Address employee relations issues proactively
• Support employee engagement and morale initiatives
• Assist with audits and maintain confidential HR records
• Respond to employee inquiries about positions
• Adhere to organizational policies and compliance standards
• Represent the organization at industry events and career fairs
• Prepare reports for senior leadership with recruitment insights
4. Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in talent acquisition preferred
• Experience in IT or higher education recruiting preferred but not required
• Bachelor’s degree or HR certification preferred
• Preferred location: San Diego, CA
• Proficient in sourcing via job boards and social media
• Active and professional LinkedIn profile
• Skilled in various interview techniques
• Experienced with selection processes including video and phone interviews
• Strong knowledge of employment laws related to recruiting
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and planning skills
• Experience with Paylocity is a plus
• Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
