DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system. Full Stack Developers (Angular/Java) will be responsible for building modern, scalable, cloud-native applications by refactoring legacy systems into microservices , developing responsive frontends, and delivering secure and observable backend services. Years Required/Preferred Experience 8 Required Minimum 7 years of full software development lifecycle experience 8 Required Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks ( Angular, TypeScript) 8 Required Strong Java backend development experience Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs 8 Required Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database design 8 Required Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) 8 Required Experience deploying applications in cloud-native or serverless environments 8 Required Familiarity with event-driven architecture patterns 8 Required Experience integrating DevSecOps practices into development workflows 8 Required Experience in using AI tools for development like github , claude code etc 4 Preferred Experience refactoring monolithic applications into microservices 4 Preferred Familiarity with observability tools (Application Insights, Prometheus) 4 Preferred Experience with feature flags and progressive delivery 4 Preferred Ability to produce clean, maintainable code and technical documentation 4 Preferred Active participation in Agile ceremonies and peer reviews Note : Expected Start Date 05/01/2026 and Expected End Date 08/31/2026 . May be renewed up to 3 years. This position is Hybrid - On Site and Telework . Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA (Within 50-mile radius). Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Mondays, Thursdays) required to be on-site Austin, TX 78751 . Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM , excluding State holidays when the agency is closed. The worker may be required to work outside the normal business hours on weekends, evenings and holidays, as requested.
