Our on call support technicians help us fill the gaps in our workforce, as needed, when projects require additional skilled labor. The support technician will be required to preform some work on site. This particular position, will cover the eastern portion of Michigan, and possibly northern Ohio. You will be assisting with the installation of network equipment, IP and coaxial based surveillance cameras, point of sale systems, routers, switches, servers, and other related equipment. Once you have submitted your resume, if you are initially selected, you will be asked to complete a job related survey and skill-set test. Candidates who feel they are still interested and pass the assessment will move on to the interview stage. Please be aware that this job will not be run out of a field office, it will be home based. Degree, certification, solid work experience or ability to pass our testing(if applicable) Clean criminal background (having a felony does not necessarily disqualify you) Clean driving record (if required for position) Knowledge and experience of customer service practices Related experience and training Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware and other equipment such as routers, switches, modems, wireless access points. Ability to use: Remote support software (VNC, Teamviewer, RDP, etc) Testing equipment, such as: Cable testers or certifiers Multimeters Toner and probe WiFi analyzer Other related equipment Ability to complete networking; such as pulling cable, in open environments , closed environments , drop-ceiling, outside, on buildings or roofs, etc; terminating cables, installing in wall and surface mount jacks; perform basic configurations of network equipment. Understanding of troubleshooting procedures and escalation of incident as needed.
