The Supplier Quality Coordinator supports Equinox Engineering project execution by coordinating supplier quality activities for engineered equipment and materials procured for EPCM projects. This remote, part-time, temporary contract role is intended for candidates with direct Australia experience The position is responsible for tracking and managing supplier quality documentation, supporting inspection activities, and ensuring quality requirements are met in accordance with project specifications, purchase orders, applicable codes, and client standards. The role works closely with Engineering, Procurement, Project Controls, Construction, suppliers, and third-party inspection agencies to support on-time, compliant equipment and material delivery across multiple projects. Key Responsibilities Coordinate supplier quality requirements in accordance with project specifications, ITPs, purchase orders, and client standards, Pressure Piping/Vessels and Structural Steel AS/NZ Review, track, and manage supplier quality documentation including MDRs, data books, inspection reports, and certificates Coordinate and support inspection activities with suppliers and third-party inspection agencies Track inspection and documentation status and follow up on outstanding actions Support expediting activities by monitoring supplier progress against quality milestones Initiate, track, and support the closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), RFIs, and quality-related change documentation Interface with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Project Controls to clarify quality and technical requirements Support bid reviews and supplier evaluations from a quality perspective Maintain accurate and complete supplier quality records within project document management systems Participate in project and supplier meetings related to quality, inspections, and documentation Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Diploma, degree, or trade background in Engineering Technology, Welding Technology, Quality, or a related discipline, AS/NZ Inspector Certificate plus secondary certifications Minimum 10+ years of experience in supplier quality, QA/QC coordination, inspection, or construction quality within an EPC/EPCM or industrial construction environment Direct experience working on projects in Australia Experience supporting fabricated equipment such as electrical buildings, compressor buildings, pipe rack modules, or similar modular construction, piping, vessels, structural steel, coating and E/I Strong working knowledge of ASME, API, ISO, and applicable AS/NZ regulatory requirements Certifications (One or more considered an asset) AS/NZ requirements ASME/S/CSA for applicable code endorsements Certification Certified Engineering Technologist AS/NZ (IIW, IIWS Journeyman Welder Ticket, B Pressure AS/NZ requirements Lead Auditor or Quality Assurance / Quality Control certification Construction QA/QC Supervisor or Quality Coordinator certification Skills & Competencies Extensive experience with ASME AS/NZ, API, AWS Knowledge of API, ASME, CSA, ISO, and NACE inspection requirements Experience with welding methods, procedures, and welding quality management Ability to support API, ASME, ISO, and AS/NZ audits Experience initiating and managing NCRs, RFIs, and quality-related change orders Strong understanding of EPCM project execution and quality coordination Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Working knowledge of Bluebeam for document and drawing review Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
