The Office of Admissions supports and advances the recruitment, admission, and enrollment to St. George’s University (SGU). Student callers serve as ambassadors for SGU and the Office of Admissions by contacting prospective students during various points of the enrollment process. Serving as a representative of the University, student callers share their own experience as medical or veterinary school students to inform, guide and support prospective students. Student callers are active enrolled students and provide their unique perspectives, personal insights, and positive experiences to assist SGU in attracting and engaging our future doctors. Roles & Responsibilities Contact prospective students as part of the Marketing, Recruitment, and Enrollment Operations (MREO) mission to attract and engage future medical and veterinary students. Work closely with the Office of Admissions staff to communicate and actively engage prospective students by phone, email, and text as part of coordinated outreach efforts. Provide insight into attending an international medical/veterinary school, campus life experiences, and how to succeed in reaching their goals as an SGU student. Promote the SeeSGU program to qualified prospective students. Assist with inviting, confirming and following up with attendees for SGU events. Encourage prospective students to attend admissions webinars and live events to learn more about the program offerings, key differentiators, and valuable outcomes of an SGU education. Act as an ambassador, providing guidance and testimonials as appropriate. Utilize social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, to market and promote SGU to prospective students. Escalate concerns to MREO staff using Salesforce customer relationship management (CRM) platform. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to interact and communicate with prospective students. Ability to serve as a representative of SGU and speak positively, enthusiastically, and passionately about personal experiences at SGU. Have a desire to make a difference at SGU and serve as a role model and mentor to peers. Strong customer service and phone manners with a focus on being courteous, patient, and thorough. Desire to work independently and thrive under minimal supervision in a remote environment. Proficiency with technology and web-based systems. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrate leadership and initiative. Work Environment: This is a remote position performed in a collaborative environment. Hours: Schedule is flexible and based on the needs of the Office of Admissions and a student’s academic schedule.
