About The Role: CASIPA is building a public presence across Canada and Africa. We are seeking a Communications and Digital Presence Intern to help manage visibility, storytelling, and digital engagement. You will help communicate the organization's progress, partnerships, initiatives, and ecosystem opportunities. Internship description: (Volunteer) Term: 3-6 Months This is a part-time, remote role. This internship is designed for driven individuals seeking practical experience, professional growth, leadership development, and exposure to innovation, entrepreneurship, technology, and international collaboration. Qualifications Strong foundational skills in Communication and Strategic Communications, with the ability to adapt messaging to diverse audiences and stakeholders. Experience or interest in Public Relations and Media Relations, including supporting outreach, monitoring media coverage, and drafting media-facing materials. Ability to draft and edit Press Releases and related institutional communications such as statements, briefs, and announcements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. Demonstrated interest in international collaboration, innovation ecosystems, technology, or public policy, especially in a Canada-Africa context. Comfort working independently in a remote, digital-first environment and collaborating across time zones and cultures. Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, International Relations, Business, or a related field is an asset. Familiarity with digital communication tools (e.g., social media platforms, email marketing, basic design tools, and productivity suites) is beneficial.
