Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong analytical and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the company. This role is fully remote, but candidates must be available during US Pacific Time (PST) business hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
- Manage general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Assist with audits, tax filings, and financial planning activities.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Experience using Yardi Voyager or similar ERP systems (MRI, Realpage, Appfolio, Entrata) required.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Availability to work during PST business hours.
