About the Role The Sr. Manager, Sales Training manages all new agent training planning, content development, and delivery. This person is responsible for meeting the companies’ sales revenue goals and objectives, ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires collaboration with Sales and Training Leadership across all divisions. In addition, the position works on developing, updating, and refining sales scripts and techniques, continued development of training materials, and ensuring that all company policies and procedures are followed. The Sr. Manager, Sales Training also may supervise a team of Training Managers, Training Coordinators and Assistant Training Coordinators. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has direct supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage the development/improvement of the new hire training plan and materials, including handbooks, lesson plans, handouts, and schedules Conform training to the needs of the different classes (STEP, S2S, Returners, etc.) Meet the companies’ sales revenue goals and objectives for training classes Ensure overall customer satisfaction and promote long-term relationship building and customer acquisition Will help set objectives and delegate responsibility to team members with ongoing training projects throughout the year Supports other training leaders by providing agents and leaders with carrier partner updates Develop and encourage company culture, team building and employee career development through coaching, mentoring and leadership Work closely with the Sales/Training Managers, Managers of Agent Development, Directors, and Trainers in the development and implementation of effective sales scripts, sales techniques and workflow processes Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed consistently Manage and asses tests and other agent evaluation criteria Participate in agent evaluations, coaching and discipline Work with BI/ETL/OPS teams to ensure accurate new agent bonus reporting Manage team of Training Managers, Training Coordinators and Assistant Training Coordinators Provides coaching and regular feedback to team members Skills/Abilities: Excellent managing, coaching and teaching skills Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Good interpersonal skills Works well under pressure Results driven Dependable attendance Previous experience in working across functional groups is required Understanding of how to utilize technology and interface with IT to improve program efficiency and business results Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) data query. Ability to learn new software Pro-active approach to tasks and ability to manage several project simultaneously and in a timely manner Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) required Minimum 7 years of relevant experience required Minimum 4 years of managing, supervising, or leading teams required SelectQuote training experience preferred Physical Requirements: Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
