Sprinkler Designer Job Description We’re looking for a talented Sprinkler Designer to join a collaborative and supportive team focused on delivering high-quality fire protection solutions. In this role, you’ll play an important part in designing and coordinating sprinkler systems for complex facilities—especially data centers—using tools like AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks. You'll work closely with engineers, architects, and clients, contributing your expertise to ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities Design and coordinate fire sprinkler systems for data centers and other facilities using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents to develop accurate system layouts Prepare detailed, code-compliant shop drawings and plans Collaborate with engineers, architects, local officials, and clients to ensure designs meet project goals Incorporate feedback thoughtfully while maintaining design integrity and compliance Coordinate sprinkler systems with other building systems to support smooth installation and avoid conflicts Support quality control efforts to ensure designs are accurate, complete, and on schedule Use design software to model systems, identify clashes, and optimize layouts for performance and cost Essential Skills 3–9 years of sprinkler design experience, including work on data center projects Strong proficiency in Revit (fire protection) and Navisworks (coordination/clash detection) Experience with AutoCAD for sprinkler layouts and shop drawings Ability to confidently read and interpret construction documents and technical specifications Solid understanding of fire protection codes, standards, and manufacturer requirements Strong communication and coordination skills when working with cross-functional teams Additional Skills & Qualifications NICET Level II or III certification is a plus Experience coordinating with electrical or other building systems is beneficial Adaptability with design tools and workflows High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, code-compliant work Work Environment This role offers a hybrid work environment designed to support both collaboration and flexibility. During the initial onboarding period (typically 1–6 months), you’ll work primarily in the office as you get up to speed with systems and processes.
