Director of Soul Care Organization: Aspire Network Partner Brand: Clarity Leadership Collective Reports To: In accordance with the current organizational chart Works Closely With: Director of Church Planting & Executive Leadership Team Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt Location: Remote (with required travel) Compensation: Commensurate with experience Position Summary The Director of Soul Care provides leadership, spiritual oversight, and operational systems to ensure the emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being of pastors, church planters, ministry leaders, and their families across the Aspire Network. This role is both visionary and executional, responsible for designing, building, and scaling a comprehensive soul care ecosystem that supports long-term ministry health, leadership sustainability, and spiritual vitality. The Director of Soul Care champions the development and execution of soul care initiatives across Aspire Network and Clarity Leadership Collective, building trusted relationships, leading retreats, developing systems, and cultivating teams that care for leaders through every season of ministry. This is a foundational leadership role with both relational authority and operational responsibility, requiring pastoral credibility, systems thinking, and a deep commitment to spiritual formation. Organizational Alignment & Legal Partnership Statement Aspire Network and Clarity Leadership Collective maintain an ongoing strategic partnership to advance shared mission objectives related to pastoral health, leadership development, and spiritual formation. This position serves within that partnership framework. The Director of Soul Care is employed by Aspire Network and may be assigned duties, responsibilities, and initiatives related to Aspire Network, Clarity Leadership Collective, or both, as determined by Aspire Senior Leadership. Responsibilities may include oversight, development, and execution of programs, events, retreats, curriculum, and care initiatives under either brand, consistent with the mission, vision, values, and governance structures of each organization. We exist as friends on mission to equip churches to multiply disciples develop healthy leaders and plant new churches ASPIRE NETWORK Core Responsibilities & Accountabilities A. Pastoral Care & Network Engagement • Serve as a trusted pastoral presence for Aspire Network pastors, leaders, spouses, and families. • Provide direct care and support during seasons of stress, transition, burnout, or crisis. • Establish best-practice pastoral care response protocols across both the Aspire and Clarity brands. • Build and steward referral pathways for counseling, coaching, and specialized care. • Engage pastors through one-on-one meetings, retreats, and on-site visits. • Serve as an ambassador for Aspire Network through weekend or midweek church visits, with a goal of visiting 15 churches annually. • Design proactive care systems to celebrate milestones (birthdays, anniversaries, ministry wins, and life events). B. Retreat Strategy & Operations (Aspire & Clarity) • Design, implement, and oversee a scalable Retreat Operating System. • Provide leadership, structure, and content development for Aspire Collective Retreats, with long-term scalability. • Oversee the planning, content, and execution of Clarity Retreats at approved locations. • Develop comprehensive retreat blueprints, including facilitator guides, schedules, best practices, and spiritual formation frameworks. • Partner with strategic partners to plan and host retreats. • Develop retreat intake processes, scholarship philosophy, follow-up care, and evaluation metrics. • Track retreat engagement, attendance, first-time participation, and repeat involvement. C. Clarity Leadership Collective Responsibilities • Oversee the development, implementation, and assessment of soul care curriculum for Clarity, Aspire, and affiliated ministries. • Oversee the planning, content, and execution of regional Clarity Events focused on soul care and leadership health. • Collaborate with both the Aspire and Clarity brands to ensure theological, strategic, and brand alignment. • Recruit, develop, and lead facilitators, coaches, and retreat leaders serving Clarity initiatives. Church Planter Care (In Partnership with Director of Church Planting) • Establish soul-care rhythms for church planters and their families across all phases of planting. • Integrate care checkpoints into the planter lifecycle (pre-launch, launch, post- launch). • Provide tailored care resources for planter spouses and families. • Ensure alignment between soul care systems and church planting strategy. E. Care Portal Development • Design, launch, and steward a digital Care Portal that guides leaders through the Stages of Soul Care Growth. • Integrate assessments, resources, retreat pathways, and follow-up care. • Ensure confidentiality, clarity, and easy access for leaders across the network. Stages of Soul Care Growth: • Stage 1: Survival – Crisis, exhaustion, isolation • Stage 2: Stabilization – Rest, boundaries, immediate support • Stage 3: Strengthening – Spiritual restoration, identity, healthy rhythms • Stage 4: Sustaining – Sustainable leadership, joy, clarity • Stage 5: Sending – Mentoring others, peer leadership, long-term impact F. PK Getaway Retreat (Strategic Initiative – By Summer 2028) The Director of Soul Care is responsible for launching a PK (Pastor’s Kids) Getaway Retreat that serves pastors’ kids and families across the Aspire Network. Responsibilities include: • Vision casting and program design • Recruitment of leaders, volunteers, and partner organizations • Development of operational plans (location, safety, programming, logistics) • Fundraising strategy including donors, sponsors, and scholarships • Marketing, attendance growth, and long-term sustainability planning G. Aspire Conference Leadership • Serve as Team Lead for all Workshops and Breakouts at the annual Aspire Conference. • Recruit, train, and coordinate workshop facilitators. • Ensure content alignment with Aspire’s mission, values, and strategic priorities. H. Reporting, Metrics & Accountability • Produce Monthly Engagement & Scalability Reports. • Track effectiveness, reach, and sustainability of soul care initiatives. • Present quarterly and annual impact reports to executive leadership. We exist as friends on mission to equip churches to multiply disciples develop healthy leaders and plant new churches ASPIRE NETWORK Required Metrics Include: • Number of retreats hosted • Total and first-time retreat attendance • Repeat participation • Network affiliation of participants • Scholarship usage • Speaking referrals and churches visited • One-on-one pastoral meetings • Travel and retreat-related expenses vs. budget • Year-over-Year metrics comparisons • Participation metrics by demographics, geography, and affiliate churches. Additional Responsibilities • Assist with recruiting pastors and churches into the Aspire Network. • Participate in staff meetings, leadership retreats, and strategic planning sessions. • Travel a minimum of 15 weeks per year, speaking in network churches. • Contribute to long-term visioning and system development for Aspire and Clarity. Qualifications • A committed follower of Jesus Christ who leads from spiritual intimacy and emotional health. • Bachelor’s degree in theology, counseling, ministry, or a related field (Master’s preferred). • Minimum 5 years of pastoral experience, preferably in church planting or revitalization contexts. • Demonstrated passion for pastoral care, spiritual formation, and leader longevity. • Strong relational, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Experience in coaching, group facilitation, retreats, or spiritual formation environments. • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and timelines. • Emotionally intelligent, discreet, trustworthy, and spiritually grounded. • Alignment with the mission, theology, and values of Aspire Network. Preferred Experience • 5+ years in pastoral leadership, counseling, chaplaincy, or soul care roles. • Experience planning and facilitating retreats, coaching cohorts, or spiritual direction groups. • Familiarity with church networks, leadership transitions, and ministry systems. • Background in startup or growth-stage ministries with demonstrated system- building capacity.
