AirBills is building a utility bill automation and cost optimisation platform for short-term rental and single-family rental property owners and managers.
Utility billing is still a manual, messy and time-consuming process for many property operators. AirBills helps customers connect utility accounts, monitor bills, automate payments, track usage, identify savings opportunities and reduce billing friction across growing property portfolios.
The platform connects with thousands of utility providers and supports customers who manage everything from a few homes to large rental portfolios. We are building for a real operational problem, with a product that sits at the intersection of SaaS, automation, payments, data, property operations and cost optimisation.
We are growing the team and building a strong team of people who want to help make utility billing simpler, smarter and more reliable.
About the Role
We are looking for a Solutions Engineer to help prospective and existing customers understand the product, evaluate fit, resolve product-related blockers, and successfully adopt the platform. This role works closely with sales, product, engineering, and customer success teams to connect customers’ needs with practical product setup, implementation guidance, and clear technical explanations. You will play an important role in demos, discovery conversations, onboarding discussions, and post-sale adoption, helping customers see how the product can solve real business problems.
What You’ll Work On
• Lead technical discovery conversations to understand customers’ current processes, tools, business requirements, and decision criteria.
• Support product demos by showing how the platform can address specific use cases, implementation needs, and operating models.
• Explain product capabilities, configuration options, and integration considerations in clear, simple language.
• Help customers evaluate the product during proof-of-concept, onboarding, and adoption stages.
• Work with sales and customer success teams to answer product questions, document customer requirements, and guide next steps.
• Investigate product setup issues, process gaps, or implementation blockers, and coordinate with product or engineering teams when needed.
• Create clear notes, demo summaries, setup guidance, and handover documentation for internal and customer-facing use.
• Share recurring customer feedback with product and engineering teams to improve usability, implementation flow, and customer adoption.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Implementation Specialist, Customer Success Engineer, Technical Consultant, or Technical Support Engineer.
• Experience working with SaaS, B2B software, internal operations tools, administrative tools, or workflow-based platforms.
• Ability to understand customers’ needs and explain how a product can fit into their current environment.
• Comfort leading demos, joining discovery calls, and answering product-related questions.
• Strong problem-solving skills across product setup, implementation planning, and customer use cases.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong documentation habits for customer notes, internal handovers, implementation details, and follow-up actions.
• Comfort working remotely with teams and customers across India, the US, or other global markets.
Good to Have
• Experience with APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, data flows, or automation tools.
• Exposure to AI-enabled software, operations platforms, or process automation products.
• Experience supporting US customers, enterprise SaaS buyers, or globally distributed teams.
• Background in pre-sales, post-sales implementation, or customer success for a technical product.
• Ability to read product documentation and discuss requirements clearly with engineering teams.
