Job Function: Essential for this role, the success candidate MUST BE ABLE TO DEVELOP NEW BUSINESS The Solution Sales Executive - Industrial Automation is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of the sales relationship with each End User client/prospect in their portfolio at every level of the decision-making process including C level down to operational management. Drives indirect End User Automation and Software sales by creating an ecosystem between System Integrators, Process OEM, Automation Distributors, Consulting Engineers, EPCs, etc., by leveraging the Schneider Electric Industrial Automation products and software portfolios. To this end, he/she leverages industry knowledge to create demand and persuade through the development and presentation of compelling purchasing rationales. Product, Services and Software and Solution agreements will encompass all Schneider Electric EcoStruxure Plant offerings and range in scale from product sales to complex, multi-service, multi-year partnerships. Specific new sales/revenue and profit margin targets are established annually by management. The Solution Sales Executive - Industrial Automation is also responsible for the establishment and maintenance of the sales relationship with identified system integrators and other specifying partners in their territory at every level. Drives new business to, and through, these partners by identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing new agreements. These agreements may be with the end user, the system integrator partner, or any other member of the project delivery ecosystem; the key being that the business is being driven by and through the engaged partners. They target potential leads, qualify them, and create a winning strategy by working closely with the SI and or Ecosystem partner. The Sales Executive would need to share sales best-practice knowledge with the Schneider Electric sales community and may mentor and coach other Sales Executives and will also be responsible to drive customer success stories through the marketing team. Responsibilities: Automation Sales Executives are responsible for managing the entire sales process from identifying prospects, influencing the specification to negotiating contracts. Other job essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following: Platforming a mix of End User customers and Alliance partners that will drive growth for Industrial Automation in Schneider Electric Canada Establishing strong relationships at all organizational levels within the customer base and understanding customers’ processes, business drivers and organizational models. Ensuring compliance with Schneider Electric sales processes Driving growth through collaboration with SE Automation distributors - IAD Identifying System Integrator partners with expertise in different segments/applications, who can deliver the solution to End User Customers. Coordinating the relationship between key client personnel and Schneider Electric senior executives Knowing assigned accounts, planning for growth, maintaining a healthy funnel, driving opportunities to closure and evaluating performance to goal. Understanding of the industry (applications, standards/regulations, drivers and trends), the customer’s organization and desired business outcomes and Schneider Electric offerings and delivery mechanisms as well as partner capabilities relevant to assigned accounts. Providing feedback on customer wants and needs to the Schneider Electric strategic portfolio function Coaching EcoSystem partners sales and delivery teams on how to identify opportunities and sell Schneider Industrial Automation Developing influential relationships at key specifying engineers in the territory and persuading them to incorporate Schneider Electric solutions and technologies in their designs and bid documents Smooth transition of new business from sales to delivery by System Integrators /Alliance Partners Ensuring compliance with Schneider Electric sales processes and business approval requirements Coordinating relationships between key partner personnel and Schneider Electric senior executives Utilizing business and financial knowledge to create value propositions Executing competitive sales tactics to win business Leading or participating in contract negotiations Essential to have a “must win mindset” supported by a passionate, enthusiastic and tenacious attitude Job Requirements: Education: Graduate degree in Business or Engineering or technical diploma Experience: 5 - 8+ years of complex, solution selling sales experience in manufacturing facilities (e.g. Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) including Food & Beverage/ Life Sciences / Personal Care, Water /Wastewater, Metals Mining & Minerals). Strong technical knowledge: Automation Systems and Solutions, PLC, CONTROLS, Drives, HMI, SCADA, MES, Digital Services Experience in Solution Selling, Digital Transformation, Smart Factory and Smart Plant Knowledgeable of Business Solutions and Manufacturing Applications Ability to establish relationships with key decisions makers from the plant level to CXO level – top down and bottom up influence Track record of meeting/exceeding yearly quota You are a true team player who: Emphasizes success within your team and accepts responsibility when you make mistakes Acknowledges what is real and shows appreciation for others Demonstrates self-motivation and always looking for the next step Desires change and challenges from the daily routine Shows good judgement, self & interpersonal awareness, and understands your own strengths and weaknesses Let us learn about you!
