About the Opportunity: Our client, a leader in the solar energy sector, is seeking a Solar Permit and Interconnection Specialist to support the smooth approval and connection of solar projects. This role will work closely with internal leadership, contributing to strategic initiatives while helping to scale clean energy solutions across the state. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full permitting process for residential and/or commercial solar projects. Prepare, submit, and track permit applications with local jurisdictions. Handle all interconnection applications and communications with California utilities (PG&E, SCE, SDG&E, etc.). Proactively troubleshoot and resolve permitting and interconnection issues. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of California's permitting regulations and utility interconnection requirements. Regularly communicate project status and challenges to internal teams and leadership. Qualifications: Experience in solar project permitting, utility interconnection, or related project coordination. Strong understanding of California interconnection procedures for solar projects. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines. Bachelor's degree preferred, though relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
