Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Design, implement, and optimize advanced Python code for production-level systems Analyze and manipulate structured datasets to support engineering and modeling workflows Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data Review, debug, and improve existing codebases for performance, reliability, and maintainability Translate ambiguous, high-level requirements into concrete, well-reasoned technical solutions Evaluate tradeoffs and recommend best-fit approaches with a consulting-style mindset Document assumptions, decisions, and implementation details with clarity and precision Who You Are Must-Have 4+ years of professional software engineering experience Advanced Python proficiency — clean architecture, performance optimization, and debugging Strong data analysis experience working with real-world, complex datasets Solid SQL skills including complex queries, transformations, and data validation Prior consulting or client-facing experience, with the ability to reason through open-ended problems independently Nice to Have Experience working with large, messy, or high-volume datasets Familiarity with backend systems, REST APIs, or data pipeline architecture Comfort evaluating AI-generated code or analytical outputs Strong written communication skills and exceptional attention to detail Why Join Us Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work Make a direct, tangible impact on how AI systems understand and produce code Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
