Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Social Media Manager. The Social Media Manager will plan, create, schedule, and publish content across social media channels to grow audience engagement and brand awareness. This role will manage daily community interactions, respond to comments and messages, and identify opportunities to highlight creators, shows, and cultural moments. The Social Media Manager will collaborate with marketing, content, and programming teams to align social campaigns with platform releases and brand initiatives. The role will also analyze performance metrics, optimize content and posting strategies, and stay current with social media trends relevant to African and Black entertainment. Qualifications Strong skills in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) to grow and engage audiences across platforms. Ability to develop and execute effective Content Strategy tailored to different social channels and campaign goals. Excellent Writing and Communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and culturally aware messages. Experience with social media analytics tools, reporting on KPIs, and using insights to refine campaigns. Demonstrated experience managing brand or entertainment-focused social media accounts, preferably in streaming, media, or cultural sectors. Familiarity with African and Black entertainment, pop culture, and diasporic communities is highly beneficial. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple deadlines, and collaborate across time zones. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
