Job Description This is a remote position. Kada Recruiting is partnering with an amazing digital marketing agency, recruiting for the right person to lead their expanding social media team as a Social Media Director. This role is flexible/hybrid. This role can be located in Boston, MA area or fully remote. May need to come into the office periodically for company and team meetings. A four-time Inc. 5000 company, this agency services the mid-market (clients range in $3-$30M) with a unique differentiator in demand generation marketing services. They provide a true turnkey outsourced suite of marketing capabilities on a monthly retainer basis, including SEO/SEM, lead generation, PPC, social media marketing, marketing automation, asset development, and branding. As a Social Media Director, you will be a part of the leadership team, managing a team of direct reports to help build, implement and drive cutting edge social media strategies for B2B clients working with six-figure budgets across a variety of platforms, with a keen focus on demand generation. You'll work with the client services function to help make client recommendations/strategies as it relates to social media plans. Key Responsibilities Oversees paid and organic social campaigns for priority clients in B2B and B2C markets Partners with HR to successfully recruit, hire and onboard new team members as needed Oversees development of paid and organic social strategies + plans in B2B and B2C markets Must be able to confidently customize and recommend appropriate paid/organic social strategies for clients considering their business, industry, goals and needs Leverage knowledge of working with B2B clients successfully in demand generation campaigns Presents key social strategies and recommendations to priority clients and prospects with confidence Manages crisis policies, standards and procedures as they relate to social media for agency as well as application for clients On-time delivery of quality work to agency clients; Manages relationships with any social media tool providers, in terms of application for social media strategies for clients Manages any influencer vendor and/or talent relationships and associated client plans Oversees and provides final approval on priority client deliverables Ensures quality of all priority client deliverables before sent to client team Participates in business development prospecting calls/meetings as needed and can speak confidently about social media industry trends and best practices Owns paid and organic social reporting analysis and recommendations for priority clients Maintains deep understanding of industry and social best practices Maintains standardized process and approach for the social team, maintaining workflows, tasks, and hours for scoping Maintains professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values Manages and develops social media team members Facilitates Social Media training for team members in alignment with training goals and objectives Leads training/best practices sessions for social and/or agency teams Manages the performance and development of all social team members Manages individual and team utilization(s) and realization(s) of assigned team members for their group of accounts Team utilization and realization of team; Success of paid and organic social campaigns Requirements 7+ years of social media experience, including agency experience managing a variety of clients (size, industry, budgets) 2-3 years of experience directly managing utilization and delegation of work to junior social media team based on skill, experience and capacity (minimum of 2 previous direct reports 2-3 years of experience directly managing the training, mentorship and onboarding of more junior social team members Prior experience reviewing and analyzing social media performance and creating best in class social media strategies and recommendations Strong presentation skills and ability to confidently articulate social media strategies and recommendations specific to the client need Experience with social media scheduling platforms such as Hootsuite, Later, Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Khoros or similar Prior experience managing paid, organic, and/or influencer based social media campaigns and budgets against KPIs simultaneously Must have experience managing clients with budgets of $100k+/year in media spend Prior hands on keyboard experience with social platforms including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn is required. Prior experience customizing social media strategies for clients based on their business, industry and goals.
