We help local service businesses win in their markets through SEO, websites, paid advertising, lead generation systems, and client-focused marketing execution. About The Role The goal of this position is to serve our clients by helping their businesses grow their visibility on Google Search and Google Maps. This increased visibility should lead to more qualified traffic, more leads, and more sales opportunities for their business. This position is responsible for executing our SEO process, completing monthly deliverables on time, identifying opportunities for improvement, and making strategic SEO decisions that positively impact each client’s local search performance. This is not an entry-level position. What You Will Be Doing You will help own SEO strategy and execution for local service businesses in the US especially landscaping and hardscaping companies. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Plan and execute Local SEO strategies for multiple client accounts Improve rankings in Google Maps, local organic search, and service-related keyword searches Perform keyword research for service pages, location pages, blogs, and local SEO campaigns Audit client websites and identify technical, on-page, content, and local SEO opportunities Execute advanced on-page SEO improvements, including title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking, content structure, and schema markup Build and improve SEO silos and internal linking structures across client websites Optimize Google Business Profiles to improve local visibility and map pack rankings Research competitors and reverse-engineer what is helping them rank Identify content gaps and recommend new pages, blogs, or location-based content opportunities Set up tracking to identify lead sources, form submissions, phone calls, and conversions accurately Plan and execute off-page SEO and link-building strategies to improve authority, rankings, and local visibility Create SEO briefs and direction for writers, designers, developers, and website team members Collaborate with the website team during website builds, rebuilds, migrations, and landing page improvements Monitor rankings, traffic, Google Business Profile performance, conversions, and SEO KPIs Prepare SEO reports and communicate performance insights clearly Work with the Client Success team to support client communication, reports, questions, and strategy discussions Use SEO tools to analyze rankings, backlinks, competitors, technical issues, and opportunities Make sure monthly SEO deliverables are completed on time with quality and accuracy Continuously look for ways to improve client results instead of simply completing assigned tasks Take full ownership of client SEO performance and proactively solve problems before they become bigger issues What We’re Looking For Essential skills and experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years of hands-on SEO experience At least 1 year of experience working in a digital marketing agency or similar environment managing multiple client accounts Proven experience with Local SEO for businesses in the United States Strong understanding of Google Maps rankings and local search visibility Experience optimizing Google Business Profiles Advanced on-page SEO knowledge, including internal linking, SEO silos, schema markup, service page optimization, and content structure Ability to perform detailed SEO audits and turn findings into clear action plans Ability to analyze competitors and identify what needs to be improved to outrank them Strong understanding of keyword research for local service businesses Experience with technical SEO fundamentals, including indexing, crawlability, site structure, redirects, page speed, and website health Experience using SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, BrightLocal, Surfer, Local Falcon, Omega Indexer, or similar tools Ability to explain SEO concepts clearly to internal team members who may not be SEO experts Good English communication skills, both written and verbal Strong attention to detail and ability to manage recurring monthly deliverables Experience in landscaping, hardscaping, home services, or local service industries is a plus Mindset & attitude (non-negotiable): You are obsessed with results, not just tasks You understand that SEO work must create leads, visibility, and business growth You do not wait for instructions when you see a problem You take ownership of wins and losses You are proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented You are comfortable managing multiple accounts and priorities You care about doing high-quality work, even when nobody is watching You can think strategically, but you are also willing to execute the details You enjoy figuring out why a competitor is winning and what needs to be done to beat them You are not satisfied with “good enough” when client results can be improved You treat client success as a personal responsibility Outcomes You Are Responsible For Client SEO Success: You are responsible for improving client visibility on Google Search and Google Maps. Your work should help increase rankings, quality organic traffic, and opportunities for leads and sales. On-Time Delivery: Each client has monthly SEO deliverables that must be completed on time and with high quality. Missed deliverables or rushed work are not acceptable. Strategic Improvements: You are responsible for identifying what each client needs next. This may include better content, stronger internal linking, GBP improvements, technical fixes, competitor-based updates, or other SEO opportunities.
