The Senior System Administrator manages and optimizes IT infrastructure across Linux, Microsoft, virtualization, and cloud platforms. The role ensures system reliability, security, and performance while supporting business operations and leading system improvements. Reports to the System Management Manager. Responsibilities Linux Systems Management: Manage Linux servers (Red Hat, Debian, etc.), ensuring performance, security, and reliability through regular updates, patches, and automation. Microsoft Technology Oversight: Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and System Center while maintaining security, access control, and performance standards. FreePBX and Phone System Coordination: Maintain and support FreePBX and VoIP systems, ensuring uptime, call quality, and smooth integration with communication platforms. VMware Virtualization & Hyper-V Systems: Manage VMware and Hyper-V environments, including deployment, monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery readiness. Cloud Services Integration: Support Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud systems, managing scalability, migrations, and service reliability. IT Security Enforcement: Apply and monitor security policies, system hardening, patching, and compliance to protect infrastructure and data integrity. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience as a System Administrator. Skilled in Microsoft, Linux/Unix, and Apple server technologies. Experience with SQL, Exchange, M365, Hyper-V, Vmware system. Strong knowledge of virtualization, cloud services, and IT security.
