THE ROLE You are not just writing briefs. You are defining the narrative before the work even begins. As our Senior Strategist, you will lead the foundational thinking for brand identities, integrated campaigns, and digital ecosystems. You will dive deep into consumer behavior, uncover cultural tensions, and build actionable roadmaps that guide our creative and production teams. You are the strategic anchor for our most ambitious projects, ensuring that every visually stunning 3D render, motion graphic, and live-action spot is grounded in a sharp, undeniable truth. Prospekt is based in Toronto. This role is fully remote. There is no office. We care about output, collaboration, and craft no matter where you are located. WHAT YOU WILL DO Brand and Cultural Strategy • Develop brand architectures, positioning, tone of voice, and core narratives for challenger brands and tier-one global players. • Conduct deep-dive research into cultural trends, audience behaviors, and competitor landscapes to uncover distinct white spaces. • Translate complex business problems into clear, compelling human insights that inspire bold creative work. Campaign and Ecosystem Planning • Build strategic frameworks for multi-channel campaigns, mapping out how an idea lives across social, digital, experiential, and paid media. • Act as the strategic lead on sports and lifestyle campaigns, understanding the nuances of fan culture, athlete partnerships, and high-energy product drops. • Partner with media and growth teams to ensure the creative strategy aligns seamlessly with performance marketing goals. Creative Enablement and Partnership • Write sharp, inspiring creative briefs that give Art Directors and Motion Designers a massive springboard, rather than a restrictive box. • Act as a sounding board during the creative development process, ensuring the work stays on strategy without diluting its cultural impact. • Help the production and creative teams defend bold ideas by providing the data and insights to back them up. Client Leadership and Pitching • Own the room during client presentations, articulating the "why" behind the creative with authority, clarity, and magnetism. • Act as a trusted advisor to the team, guiding them through pivots, market shifts, and new cultural opportunities. • Lead the strategic development for major agency pitches, setting the narrative arc that wins new business. WHO YOU ARE • You are culturally plugged in. You understand the mechanics of hype, sports, and internet culture just as well as you understand a SaaS sales funnel. • You are a brilliant distiller. You can take 100 pages of scattered research and turn it into a single, undeniable sentence. • You do not write briefs that read like instruction manuals. You write briefs that make creatives want to start working immediately. • You are confident in your convictions but leave your ego at the door when collaborating with the creative team. • You are highly analytical, yet deeply intuitive. WHAT YOU BRING • 5–8 years of experience in brand, creative, or cultural strategy within a creative and/or experiential marketing agency. • A strong portfolio of strategic work that led to highly visible, culturally impactful campaigns or brand repositionings. • Deep expertise in building brand systems and integrated campaign architectures. • Experience working closely with high-level teams. • A profound understanding of sports, entertainment, and lifestyle marketing. • Exceptional writing, storytelling, and presentation skills. • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as required.
