QUALIFICATIONS 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years focused on enterprise data protection, backup and recovery, or cyber resilience. Proven pre-sales or solution consulting experience in a partner, VAR, or vendor environment. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $110,00 to $140,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. We are looking for a Senior Solution Consultant with deep, hands-on expertise in enterprise data protection to join WWT's Cyber Resilience Practice. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our clients, helping them evaluate, design, and implement best-in-class backup, recovery, and cyber resilience solutions across complex hybrid and multi-cloud environments. You will work alongside WWT account teams, architects, and engineering resources to translate client challenges into compelling, technically credible solutions - spanning pre-sales engagements, proof-of-concept work, and post-sales advisory. This is a high-visibility, client-facing role that requires equal parts technical depth and business acumen. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience across data protection platforms, a consulting or professional-services background, and the ability to translate complex security requirements into scalable, enterprise-grade solutions. A track record of successful implementations for large organizations is essential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead technical pre-sales engagements for data protection and cyber resilience opportunities across WWT's enterprise and mid-market client base. Conduct discovery sessions to understand client backup environments, recovery objectives, data growth trends, and compliance requirements. Develop and present solution architectures covering backup, replication, immutable storage, air-gapped vaults, and ransomware recovery — tailored to each client's infrastructure. Design and deliver proof-of-concept (PoC) and proof-of-value (PoV) engagements across platforms including Dell, Commvault, Cohesity, and Rubrik. Author bill-of-materials (BOM), statements of work (SOW), and technical proposal content in collaboration with account executives and solution architects. Stay current on data protection market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging threats (ransomware, insider risk, supply chain attacks) to provide relevant, forward-looking guidance. Support WWT marketing and go-to-market activities including webinars, thought leadership content, and partner-sponsored events. Collaborate with WWT's Advanced Technology Center (ATC) labs team to develop demo environments, reference architectures, and validated designs. Serve as an internal subject matter expert (SME), mentoring junior consultants and enabling account teams on data protection capabilities and competitive positioning.
