What You'll Do Monitor security events and alerts across our infrastructure and applications, triaging and escalating incidents with speed and precision Lead and coordinate incident response efforts: from initial detection and containment through root cause analysis, remediation, and post-mortem documentation Perform digital forensics on affected systems, logs, and artifacts to understand attacker behavior, scope of compromise, and entry vectors Operate and continuously improve our SOC capabilities — tuning detection rules, reducing false positives, and building runbooks that make the team faster and sharper over time Assess and monitor the security posture of our cloud environments (primarily AWS), identifying misconfigurations, excessive permissions, and exposure risks before they become incidents Work with engineering teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines, container workloads, and infrastructure-as-code Stay current on threat intelligence relevant to fintech, crypto, and LatAm — translating external signals into actionable internal improvements Collaborate with the Technology and Compliance teams to support audits, vulnerability management, and security policy enforcement What We're Looking For Must have: 5+ years of experience in security operations , incident response, or a related role Strong security fundamentals Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms and log analysis Solid understanding of incident response lifecycle: detection, containment, eradication, recovery, and lessons learned Experience performing digital forensics on Linux and/or cloud-native environments Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, firewalls, VPNs) Familiarity with cloud security in AWS (CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, IAM, VPCs) Scripting ability in Python, Bash, or similar for automating analysis and response tasks Ability to communicate security risks clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Nice to have: Experience in fintech, crypto, or regulated financial environments Experience with container and Kubernetes security Knowledge of blockchain security patterns or crypto custody risks What We Offer The opportunity to build and mature security operations at a fast-growing fintech platform with real impact A role at the intersection of security engineering and operations — no siloed analyst work A passionate team focused on innovation, transparency, and impact Competitive compensation in USDT Six weeks of vacation Flexible hours A MacBook and an annual budget to invest in your professional development Mostly remote, with at least one day a week at our Buenos Aires office A vibrant startup culture with flexibility, autonomy, and a results-oriented approach At belo , we're redefining financial services for LatAm and beyond.
