Senior DevSecOps Architect (SDLC / On-Premise / Migration) Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid) Part-time (1 day/week) | Contract: June – December 2026 (7 months) About the Role We are looking for a Senior DevSecOps Architect to support the design and transformation of a secure, self-hosted DevSecOps ecosystem within a highly regulated financial environment. This role combines audit, strategy, architecture design, and migration planning , with a strong focus on on-premise infrastructure, security integration, and reducing vendor lock-in . A key objective is to guide the transition away from on-premises Atlassian tools toward a sustainable, secure, and future-proof DevSecOps setup. Key Responsibilities Current State Assessment Analyze the existing DevOps ecosystem (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) Identify risks related to security, scalability, and vendor dependency Review documentation and assess current processes DevSecOps Strategy & Architecture Design a target DevSecOps architecture (self-hosted / on-premise) Ensure alignment with Microsoft technologies (.NET, Azure DevOps where applicable) Integrate security practices across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Tooling Evaluation & Migration Evaluate and recommend alternatives to Atlassian tools Identify migration challenges and propose pragmatic solutions Support decision-making around tooling, architecture, and processes Transition Roadmap Define a progressive migration strategy Assess impact on: Development teams End-users Security and operations processes Deliver a clear migration plan and communication strategy Implementation Support Support proof-of-concept implementations Assist in pipeline design and deployment Provide documentation and knowledge transfer Required Skills & Experience Strong expertise in DevSecOps architecture and SDLC Proven experience with self-hosted DevOps ecosystems Hands-on experience with: CI/CD pipelines and automation ITSM, ticketing, wiki, Git, and CMDB tools Experience migrating from Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) Strong knowledge of application security tools : SAST, DAST, SCA Secrets management Experience in on-premise environments and infrastructure constraints Soft Skills Strong ability to conduct audits and deliver actionable insights Pragmatic, business-oriented mindset Experience in change management across development teams Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Analytical and structured approach Languages French or Dutch – Native / Bilingual proficiency English – Professional working proficiency
