About this Position Join us as a Senior Robotic & Automation Engineer and take the lead in driving innovation and excellence across our automation and robotics systems. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to design, implement, and optimize advanced solutions that enhance efficiency, reliability, and performance. What you´ll do Lead the design, development, and deployment of automation and robotic systems to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality Evaluate, select, and integrate robotic and process automation solutions (including DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems) into existing operations Apply image processing and industrial sensor technologies to improve automation accuracy, quality control, and process monitoring Develop and manage project plans covering timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing production processes and implementing robotics/automation-based enhancements Monitor KPIs for automation, robotics, and maintenance processes, providing data-driven recommendations for optimization Ensure compliance with industry standards, process safety, and internal company policies throughout project execution Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—engineering, IT, production, and procurement—to deliver holistic solutions Stay updated on emerging trends in robotics, industrial automation, image processing, and RPA technologies, applying innovations where relevant Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of technical excellence What makes you a good fit Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical-Electronics, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, Automation, or related engineering fields; Master’s is a plus 5–8 years of proven experience in robotics, industrial automation, and process control systems Strong expertise in DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems, robotic integration, and RPA tools/processes Knowledge of image processing and industrial sensor technologies within automation systems Hands-on experience in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning Solid knowledge of industrial standards (ISO, IEC) and process safety regulations Analytical mindset with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with fluency in English (written and spoken) Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment Some perks of joining Henkel Flexible work scheme with flexible hours, hybrid work model, and work from anywhere policy for up to 30 days per year Diverse national and international growth opportunities Global wellbeing standards with health and preventive care programs Gender-neutral parental leave for a minimum of 8 weeks Employee Share Plan with voluntary investment and Henkel matching shares At Henkel, we come from a broad range of backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences.
