Job Responsibilities Define and drive test automation strategies, quality standards, and quality gates across the software development lifecycle. Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using JavaScript/TypeScript. Create clear, traceable acceptance criteria and translate them into effective automated test coverage. Develop and execute automated tests across mobile, web, API, and backend systems. Design automation architectures that promote reusability, maintainability, and scalability. Integrate, optimize, and maintain automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. Implement and manage test data strategies, including factories, fixtures, seeds, test containers, and environment isolation. Monitor, investigate, and systematically remediate flaky tests to improve reliability and confidence in releases. Define, track, and analyze automation and quality metrics to drive continuous improvement. Job Requirements Great English proficiency (B2+ Written and spoken) 7+ years of experience as a QA Engineer Impeccable punctuality (schedules are flexible but being in time for meetings is crucial) Strong experience with shift-left testing, quality gates, and test strategy definition. Proven experience designing scalable test automation architectures and frameworks using JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience automating tests for Node.js/NestJS backends, React web applications, and React Native mobile applications, or strong exposure to React Native test automation. Deep hands-on experience with Jest and Playwright. Experience integrating and optimizing automated tests within CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions Experience with test data management and environment isolation strategies. Experience managing flaky tests through detection, triage, and remediation. Solid understanding of APIs, backend systems, cloud environments, and observability tools. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across frontend, backend, and mobile environments. Experience defining and tracking automation and quality metrics. Hands-on experience with performance/load testing, contract testing, or accessibility testing tools. Awareness of application security fundamentals, including OWASP Top 10 and authentication/authorization testing. Nice to have Experience with React Native. Experience in agriculture/agronomy, or a strong desire to learn. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time consultancy, with up to 40 weekly hours during regular business times. We operate under a flexible core hours policy to accommodate various schedules, allowing consultants to perform during their peak productivity times. Additionally, we offer the flexibility to work remotely.
