Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and tenacious Accountant/Finance Lead to oversee the financials for a portfolio of 20+ Homeowners Association (HOA) clients. This is a full-time position operating from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM HST (including a 1-hour lunch). The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter and a natural leader who takes accountability for their work and thrives in an environment requiring excellent internal team communication. Job Highlights Schedule: Mon - Fri full-time schedule of 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM HST Work Arrangement: Work from home Contract: Independent Contractor Responsibilities Financial Setup & Oversight: Enter starting balances on balance sheets and set up the Chart of Accounts for clients. Portfolio Management: Actively manage the finances across 20+ clients on a monthly basis. Reporting & Analysis: Produce Monthly Financial Statements, including detailed notes and insights on the financial outcomes. Accounts Receivable & Payable: Oversee all AR and AP management (support from an assistant will be provided for writing checks and related administrative tasks). Account Reconciliation: Routinely reconcile investment accounts, cash accounts, and individual HOA owners' balances. Budgeting & Strategy: Assist the team with annual budget preparation and help develop internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). System Management: Help implement system changes directly within the Vantaca software, specifically managing and updating fees and penalties. Candidate Requirements Experience & Technical Skills Accounting Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping. Software Proficiency: Prior experience using Vantaca is strictly required. Personality Traits & Soft Skills Leadership: A strong leader who is a self-starter and self-motivated. Work Ethic: Tenacious, highly attentive to detail, and holds themselves accountable for their work and outcomes.
