About Taikun
Taikun Digital is a 25-person performance marketing agency specializing in paid media and creative for ecommerce brands. We're growing fast — currently ~$3M annual revenue, on track to roughly double this year, with a team scaling toward 40+. Our talent bench is unusually senior for our size: industry-recognized practitioners in PPC, paid social, and creative working with clients ranging from venture-backed DTC brands to category leaders.
The founder runs a high-velocity operation across the business, client relationships, hiring, and strategic decisions. The pace is intense, the standards are high, and the work matters.
What This Role Is
This is the principal EA seat for the founder. You will own the operational surface of his work and personal life: calendar, inbox, travel, communications, life logistics, and the daily dossier of what he needs to do, where he needs to be, and what needs his attention.
You will be the person who keeps everything moving so he can focus on the things only he can do.
The role is intentionally narrow and deep. You're not managing the company. You're not running cross-functional projects. You're not the Chief of Staff. You're the person who makes sure the founder's days work — every day, at a very high level — and who acts as the gatekeeper between him and the broader world.
You will also work closely with the founder's partner, who is a real stakeholder in calendar and household coordination. The current EA has a strong working relationship with both of them; we expect the same of you.
What You Will Own
Calendar and time
- Full ownership of the founder's calendar, work and personal blended
- Coordination with his partner on shared calendar, household, and travel
- Defending time for what matters; rescheduling and declining on his behalf without checking in
- Building the day so he knows where to go and what to be ready for
Communications
- Full management of the founder's email — triage, drafting, sending on his behalf, escalating only what needs him
- Same for LinkedIn and Twitter DMs
- Handling inbound requests: podcast invites, intros, vendor follow-ups, scheduling
- Drafting routine outbound: thank-yous, intros, soft no's, follow-ups
Travel
- Owning all travel logistics, work and personal
- Holding passport, loyalty accounts, preferences
- Booking flights, hotels, ground transport
- Building travel dossiers — agenda, who he's meeting, what he should know going in
Daily dossier
- Morning brief: today's calendar, what he needs to be ready for, decisions he owes people, reminders, places to go, things to bring
- Pre-reads on meetings where context matters
- End-of-day rundown: what came in, what was handled, what needs him tomorrow
Life logistics
- Restaurant reservations
- Gift coordination (team, clients, family, partner)
- Personal appointments (doctor, dentist, haircuts)
- Household coordination as needed
- Reminders and prompts for the things he wants to follow through on
Task management
- Owning his ClickUp tasks — adding, adjusting workload, removing what's no longer relevant
- Tracking commitments he's made and making sure they happen
- Chasing people on his behalf when he's owed something
Gatekeeper function
- Triaging all inbound requests to him from inside and outside the company
- Real authority to schedule, decline, defer, or escalate on his behalf
- "She said no on my behalf" means he said no
- A short defined list of people and topics that bypass the gatekeeper; everything else goes through you
Who You Are
- 7+ years as an Executive Assistant, Principal EA, or Executive Business Partner, ideally supporting a busy founder, executive, or principal in a high-velocity environment
- Native or near-native English; written communication needs to be excellent
- Comfortable with significant proximity to the principal's life - handling personal accounts, knowing his preferences, working closely with his partner, holding sensitive information without ever creating discomfort
- Highly proactive — you anticipate what's needed before being asked, and you take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks
- Exceptional judgment about what reaches the principal and what doesn't
- Discreet by default. Trust-sensitive access (credit card, passport, email, social accounts) is part of the job, and your track record on discretion is unimpeachable
- Calm and unflappable under pressure. The pace can be intense; the response cannot be reactive
- Tech-comfortable: ClickUp, Google Workspace, Slack, travel platforms, the standard stack
- Reliable to a fault. The principal should never have to wonder if something is being handled
Logistics
- Full-time, remote, anywhere in Latin America
- East Coast US working hours (rough overlap 9am–6pm ET, with flexibility for travel and time-sensitive needs)
- Compensation $2,500-$3,500/month, flexible for exceptional candidates
- Reports directly to the founder; works closely with the Senior People Operations Specialist on internal coordination and hiring.
