The firm serves clients across petroleum, chemical, power generation, pulp and paper, and metal manufacturing, with a strong pipeline of active and incoming industrial projects. This is a senior-level, billable role for an electrical engineer who is comfortable owning project deliverables from concept through construction support, working alongside designers and a multi-discipline team to produce complete, high-quality engineering packages. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of heavy industrial electrical engineering experience, holds an active PE license, and is confident representing the firm directly with clients and utilities. This role offers long-term professional stability within a supportive firm environment. Responsibilities Lead electrical engineering efforts across heavy industrial projects, completing medium and low voltage calculations, documentation packages, plans, sections, and details according to industry, client, and company standards, with accuracy and efficiency Collaborate with electrical designers to develop and check one-line diagrams, conduit plans, grounding plans, area classification plans, control panel layouts, lighting plans, P&IDs, PLC and DCS wiring diagrams, and motor schematics, while coordinating interdisciplinary needs across mechanical, civil, process, and structural teams Serve as a direct client and utility contact on new and upgraded service installations, support contractor submittal reviews and RFI responses, coordinate equipment vendor specifications, and contribute to proposal preparation, scope development, and budget efforts Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and travel within the United States up to 15% to 20% of the time for site investigations, design reviews, and construction support Qualifications 10+ years of electrical engineering experience on heavy industrial projects including oil and gas, refinery, pulp and paper, or similar environments, with demonstrated experience spanning concept through construction, startup, and commissioning; candidates must be comfortable working in active industrial facilities BSEE from an ABET-accredited institution and a current PE license are both required; Candidates must currently reside in the United States and be authorized to work without current or future visa sponsorship; strong experience with power system modeling software such as SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower is required, along with working knowledge of NFPA 70, 70E, API 500/540, and IEEE standards Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Proven ability to manage project deliverables independently with minimal supervision, including voltage drop, cable tray, conduit sizing, and equipment sizing calculations, along with experience estimating heavy industrial electrical engineering and construction costs Join Us This is a US-based remote position.
