Senior Data Scientist - Arenastaden Assignment Description Our large bankclient is looking for a highly experienced (5+ years) external consultant to support the HR department in its AI transformation initiative. The consultant will: Co-develop a dedicated AI infrastructure within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Migrate existing AI models into the new platform Provide hands-on training, coaching, and knowledge transfer to internal teams Enable long-term operational independence within the HR organisation regarding AI and data science capabilities The role involves both strategic input and hands-on development in a complex enterprise environment. Mandatory Requirements AreaRequirement Cloud & Infrastructure • Minimum 5 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Vertex AI, BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Run • Experience designing and managing scalable AI environments in cloud-native infrastructure Machine Learning & AI • Solid hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras • Experience working with large language models (LLMs) and Generative AI tools (e.g., Gemini, LangChain, Hugging Face) • Deep understanding of responsible AI practices, including monitoring, fairness, governance, and explainability Programming & Data Processing • Strong programming skills in Python • Experience with data manipulation libraries such as Pandas and NumPy • Comfortable working in development environments such as Jupyter Notebooks Version Control & CI/CD • Proficiency with Git and platforms such as GitHub or GitLab • Familiarity with collaborative workflows and CI/CD pipelines Communication & Knowledge Transfer • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken) • Ability to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders • Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and transfer knowledge to internal teams Teamwork & Ownership • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of deliverables • Comfortable collaborating across multiple departments Meriting (Nice to Have) Experience with MLOps tools and methodologies Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform Understanding of DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) About Sperton Sperton is a global recruitment and consulting firm with offices across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
