Do you want the opportunity to take ownership of an entire compliance domain within a rapidly growing Property Technology business, where your work will directly influence how landlords, letting agents, contractors and tenants manage legal obligations across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland? On offer is the opportunity to join an innovative startup that is building a revolutionary AI-powered platform for the UK property sector. With ambitious growth plans and a product targeting a multi trillion-pound industry, this role will play a critical part in ensuring the platform remains legally compliant, auditable and scalable. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and building the compliance infrastructure that sits at the heart of the platform. You will develop property identity and routing systems through integrations with Ordnance Survey and HM Land Registry, build jurisdictional rules engines covering all UK nations, create OCR-based compliance document ingestion pipelines and implement automated enforcement mechanisms linked to legislation such as Awaab's Law. You will work closely with engineering leadership whilst operating with a high degree of autonomy within a small specialist squad. The ideal candidate will have a strong backend engineering background using either TypeScript/Node.js/Python or similar, alongside experience building event-driven systems and integrating external APIs. You will possess a strong understanding of working within regulated environments. Experience with compliance systems, rules engines, GIS platforms and document processing technologies would be highly advantageous.
