Senior Backend Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer to help us accelerate our product's performance and broaden our audience.

What are we looking for?

• Experience working with Django
• Strong understanding of asynchronous architectures and patterns
• Solid understanding of relational databases (especially PostgreSQL)
• Strong understanding of multiprocessing, threads and async Python.
• Experience with pytest and solid testing practices (we care about tests - our goal is 100% coverage)

What will you be working on?

• Like any dating platform, we manage high volumes of users and data, work on refining matching algorithms and architecture, continuously enhancing user experience, and developing new features.
• We’re in the middle of transitioning from a monolithic system to a modern microservice architecture, with several services already up and running.
• Our tech stack includes: Python 3.12+, Django 4+, Celery / Dramatiq, Kafka, Dapr, PostgreSQL, Redis Sentinel, RabbitMQ, Centrifuge.
• We run everything on AWS, using Kubernetes for orchestration and CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployments.
