Senior Backend Developer with GO

We're in search of Backend Developers, independent thinkers willing to come up with great ideas, commitment and quality work.

The team in Romania is remote-first, so you can work fully remote, but we can also offer a physical workplace in Bucharest, if you need or prefer a traditional office space that is not at home.

What we are looking for in our new Senior Backend Developer:

• Proven understanding of common data structures and algorithms
• Go experience (language paradigms, constructs, idioms, templating language, router packages) or or strong equivalent language and willingness to ramp up quickly.
• Exposure to Kotlin appreciated
• Experience working with microservices with a good grasp of pitfalls and strategies to overcome them
• Familiarity with AI tools used for programming
• Understanding of containerization technologies (docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience working with AWS/Google Cloud appreciated
• Curiosity and initiative. You love exploring and you seek new opportunities and ideas —you don’t just wait to be told what to do.
• Drive and organization. You’re energetic, hard-working, and persistent, aiming for excellence in what you do. You can be entrusted with responsibilities big and small.
• Passion and humility. You have a proven passion for writing software and you’re also down to earth, willing to give, ask for and listen to feedback.
• Communication and English. You keep improving your communication skills, and you are fluent in English, being able to express ideas, describe work both verbally and in writing, communicate effectively with the team.

What you’ll do:

• Build scalable and maintainable software
• Understand business requirements and work toward building testable and performant system
• Play a role in design and software decisions towards efficient distributed microservice based system

There are 4 steps of the interview process:

• Application Review: We’ll screen your application within one week and we'll contact you if you are selected for the next step.
• Technical + Team Interview (60–90 min): Meet two team members to discuss your technical skills and experience, but also about teamwork, delivery, and communication.
• Leadership Chat (30 min): A conversation with our Managing Director.
• Offer: If it’s a match, we’ll send a written offer.
