Description Candidates who live within 50 miles of our Boston, Portsmouth, Columbus, Plano or Seattle offices will be on-site two days per week. Supports Small Commercial Underwriting Operations by leading and executing operational work that improves field efficiency, strengthens knowledge access, and ensures timely delivery of assigned initiatives. This role serves as a hands-on partner across line-of-business forums, payment/process workflows, and content migration efforts, while identifying and advancing process and system improvements that enhance the underwriter/USS experience. Own and complete Your Way Pay tasks, while identifying opportunities to streamline, automate, or improve related processes within UOS control. Actively participate in Workers Comp, Auto, GL, and Umbrella forums to stay aligned on priorities, support UOS initiatives, and apply subject matter expertise to problem-solving. Monitor and support GL/Umbrella profit initiatives , helping ensure field impact, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness are considered. Complete assigned operational work accurately and on time, including but not limited to Emergency Orders/Moratoriums System Access Guideline maintenance Field alignment maps Drive assigned project such as the State Auto SharePoint-to-Knowledge Center (KC) content transition , including project planning, timeline management, stakeholder coordination, and adoption support. Partner with stakeholders and decision-makers to improve KC structure and ensure migrated content is accessible and useful to the field. Continuously look for workflow, system, and process improvements that reduce rework, improve compliance, and support better underwriting execution. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or other quantitative field. Minimum 3 years, typically 4 years or more of relevant work experience. Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Must have good planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills. Employees may apply for a new role after completing 12 months of employment in their current position.
