This is a great opportunity for a fully qualified accountant who is highly organised and motivated to manage a portfolio of clients. This is a hybrid role, offering a salary of up to €35K, plus an annual bonus. Please note that only candidates already based in Malta can be considered. Role & Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the accounting department Supervise and review the work of Accounts Executives and junior staff Monitor task progress and ensure all deadlines are met Uphold and enforce compliance with accounting policies and procedures Act as the key point of contact for auditors and handle client queries promptly Support senior management by carrying out requests and escalating matters where necessary Prepare and submit VAT returns and year-end management accounts Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records for clients on a monthly basis Education, Skills & Experience UOM Bachelor's or Masters in Accounts or ACCA qualified or equivalent Maltese Value Added Tax (VAT) qualification acquired from an established professional institution in Malta – non-negotiable 2+ years of experience in a client accounting role in Malta Fluency in English at a C2/native level both written and spoken Fluency in Italian is a plus Strong understanding of GAPSME and IFRS Ability to work without supervision Ability to handle confidential information and perform under pressure Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills Strong prioritisation and organisational skills About the Role Salary of up to €35K Annual bonus Hybrid working model with flexible hours Reduced working hours during the summer period Opportunities for career growth Option for Gozo-based employees to work from the Victoria office Remote working options on planned and agreed dates Please apply with your detailed CV in English. *JobMatchingPartner Limited is a recruitment agency licenced in Malta, EU with licence no EA00340-2024.
