GENERAL SUMMARY: Our Search Manager is a high-energy, detail-conscious professional; an individual who is versed in paid search, SEO, analytics and website conversion rate (CRO) techniques along with experience in performance & brand awareness campaigns and evergreen digital activations. Our Search Manager will oversee a set of national and/or regional accounts and is responsible for search strategy, activation, management, testing and reporting. Reporting to the SVP Media, the position plays a critical role within the Agency’s Media team; this individual will provide leadership on assigned accounts with a team of search and performance marketing professionals in a supporting role. RESPONSIBILITIES: Leading day to day development of strategic paid search and SEO plans: Developing and nurturing Engine’s day-to-day search relationship with key clients Guiding holistic development of the paid search (primary), SEO (secondary) & measurement strategies on assigned accounts Leading the presentation of paid search and SEO strategies, plans and detailed recommendations to clients for approval Presenting search concepts and execution approaches to internal & key stakeholders Providing a point-of-view and recommendations to clients on the latest innovations in search marketing Collaboration with other Agency strategy, account or creative teams to develop holistic Communications plans for integrated clients Supervising activation, stewardship and reporting on approved plans: Responsible for day to day execution of paid search and SEO on behalf of ENGINE clients, including but not limited to: Manage pay-per-click amd shopping campaigns across Google Ads, YouTube, GDN and others) Budget pacing and performance against key KPIs Performance optimization through ad copy, keywords, bids, geo-targeting and landing page strategy Ensuring successful implementation and QA of plans with activation teams Ensuring that all tactics are delivering on-budget, on-time, on-goal, etc. Developing and supporting reporting deliverables for clients (weekly, monthly, wrap reports) Guiding assigned teams on developing and writing key performance insights and implications Ensuring a smooth, accurate and timely client billing process: Working with internal finance team and account leads on client billing process and timelines Supporting agency budgeting documents and guiding teams on process and delivery Supporting Agency leadership and new business development: Leading management and growth of assigned team of search and performance marketing specialists Displaying consistent leadership and inspiring advancement of Agency culture with all co-workers Collaborating with other Media team leaders and managers to develop and iterate vision and process across all Agency business Participating in the new business development process with Agency leadership team, including but not limited to: Paid search and SEO evaluation and audits with available tools Hypothetical account structuing and optimization approaches Evaluation of website conversion paths for best practices and implications QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university 4+ years of hands-on experience managing paid search campaigns on Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, & YouTube 2+ year(s) in a CRO or UX role is a plus. Certification/well-versed in Google Ads, Google Analytics, Microsoft Ads, Optimizely, Hotjar, Unbounce and VWO. Advanced knowledge of Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, etc). Experience using third party tracking and multi-attribution tools to measure and optimize search campaigns A robust understanding of third-party planning, competitive and testing tools (e.g SEMRush, SpyFu, Lucky Orange, VWO). Experience working on both performance and brand marketing clients –eCommerce and shooping experience is a plus Ability to build genuine client, internal agency and vendor relationships Strong strategic thinking skills and deep experience building and executing paid search and SEO strategy for clients Ability to understand the role of paid search & SEO and integrate planning within a broader mix of marketing channels Management experience, ability to support and oversee a team of specialists Knowledge of CRO research methods (user experience, surveys, analytics, heat maps, etc.) is a plus. Ability to create wireframes and implement CRO tests is a plus Strong analytical abilities, including drawing insights from client or media reported data Ability to translate the complexity of the modern search engine and analytics environment into digestible stories for clients to believe in and approve Strong point-of-view on the future of digital media and what clients should be thinking about Organization, writing and project management skills are a must Solid interpersonal and teamwork abilities including dedication to collaboration Demonstrated curiosity, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities We, ENGINE, are an equal opportunity employer.
