We're looking for experienced Security Operations Analysts to work with realistic incident scenarios, validate AI reasoning, and ensure AI outputs reflect how analysts actually detect, triage, and respond to threats. This is a rare opportunity to influence how AI thinks about cybersecurity — from the inside. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Analyze realistic SOC incident and alert scenarios — understand what's happening, why it matters, and what to do about it Classify severity levels, determine root causes, and recommend appropriate response actions Review detection logic and investigation workflows for accuracy and completeness Evaluate AI-generated security outputs and flag gaps between AI reasoning and real analyst judgment Provide structured, expert feedback that helps AI systems reason more like seasoned practitioners Work independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments Who You Are 2+ years of hands-on experience in SOC, incident response, or security operations Familiar with SIEM platforms, alert triage workflows, and security investigation processes Able to quickly distinguish genuine threats from noise and false positives Comfortable communicating your reasoning clearly in writing Detail-oriented and self-directed — you don't need someone looking over your shoulder Nice to Have Experience with threat hunting, digital forensics, or detection engineering Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK or NIST Background in red team / blue team exercises or purple teaming Prior experience in AI evaluation or data labeling Why Join Us Work directly on frontier AI systems being built with top research labs Fully remote and flexible — work on your schedule, from anywhere Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration Your expertise shapes how AI handles real-world security challenges Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
