Job Description This is a remote position. The Opportunity: At Pentoz, we specialize in delivering tailored SAP solutions to drive digital transformation across industries. We are seeking an experienced SAP IS Chemicals Expert to lead the implementation, customization, and optimization of SAP solutions specifically for the chemical manufacturing and distribution sector. This role requires deep functional expertise in SAP IS-Chemicals and a strong understanding of the business processes unique to the chemical industry. As a domain expert, you will partner with stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams to deliver end-to-end implementations that improve compliance, reduce operational complexity, and drive performance. Key Responsibilities: Lead or support the full lifecycle implementation of SAP IS Chemicals modules Analyze chemical industry-specific requirements and map them into SAP solutions Design and configure SAP functionalities covering procurement, production, batch management, quality management, sales, and regulatory compliance Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement business processes that align with SAP best practices Ensure compliance with industry regulations including REACH, GHS, OSHA, and product safety requirements Support integration with other SAP modules such as SD, MM, PP, QM, and EHS Provide expert guidance on Master Data Management (material master, specifications, BOMs, batch data) Perform gap analysis and develop custom enhancements where required Deliver system documentation, user training, and post-go-live support Troubleshoot and resolve system issues with a focus on continuous process improvement Required Qualifications: 6+ years of SAP experience with a minimum of 3+ years specifically in SAP IS-Chemicals or SAP for Chemicals industry Proven expertise in configuring chemical-specific scenarios including batch traceability, hazardous materials handling, and formulation management Strong understanding of industry-specific requirements such as compliance, labeling, dangerous goods management, and waste tracking Hands-on experience in at least one full-cycle SAP IS-Chemicals implementation Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Information Technology, or related field Preferred Qualifications: SAP Certification in relevant modules (e.g., SAP PP, QM, EHS, IS-Chemicals) Exposure to SAP EWM, SAP EH&S, SAP GRC, or integration with external LIMS systems Experience with SAP Fiori apps and S/4HANA migration projects Prior consulting experience with multinational chemical manufacturers What We Offer: Challenging and meaningful projects across leading chemical companies Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses Remote work flexibility with global project exposure Opportunity to grow into roles such as SAP Solution Architect or Industry Principal Collaborative work environment with strong domain expertise and innovation focus About Pentoz: Pentoz is a fast-growing technology company with a mission to drive transformation through advanced enterprise systems.
