SAP Authorization / Security Consultant – Full Remote

For an Austrian banking client, we are looking for an experienced SAP Authorization / Security Consultant with strong expertise in SAP roles, authorizations and SAP Security.

This is a long-term full remote project. Candidates from EU / CEE are welcome.

Important requirement:

Hands-on experience with Xiting XAMS is mandatory. Please apply only if you have real experience with Xiting XAMS.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of SAP roles and authorization concepts in SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori environments.

Your tasks will include implementing role and authorization concepts according to best practices such as Least Privilege and Composite Roles, as well as working with Xiting XAMS, including Role Designer, Role Builder and Role Profiler.

You will perform authorization analyses and troubleshooting, including trace evaluations, identify and resolve authorization issues and security risks, and support the analysis and remediation of Segregation of Duties (SoD) conflicts.

You will also support audits, compliance checks and access reviews, contribute to SAP Security Governance processes, align with business departments and technical stakeholders, document authorization concepts and help ensure audit readiness.

In addition, you will support S/4HANA transformation and optimization projects.

Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with several years of experience as an SAP Authorization / Security Consultant.

Expected experience:

• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Xiting XAMS
• Deep know-how in SAP authorizations and role management, including PFCG
• Experience with SAP Fiori and Fiori authorization concepts
• Knowledge of SAP GRC, compliance and audit requirements
• Experience with SoD analyses and risk assessments
• Confident use of relevant SAP transactions such as SU24, SU01 and SU53
• Understanding of Governance, Risk & Compliance processes
• Analytical and structured way of working
• Ability to work independently and in distributed teams

Nice to have:

• Experience in banking or another regulated environment
• German language skills
• Experience with S/4HANA transformation projects
