Whilst this is a sales role, we would consider candidates with relevant technical experience (eg QA Food) considering a career change. Full sales and product training will be provided.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of PerkinElmer’s food testing instrumentation portfolio.
Create and execute a strategic territory business plan to drive revenue growth in food testing capital equipment.
Manage all aspects of territory ownership, including prospecting, relationship development, opportunity management, and deal closure.
Conduct effective customer presentations, demonstrations, and seminars.
Build and maintain a healthy sales funnel, provide accurate forecasts, and consistently convert opportunities into revenue to achieve quota.
Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and ownership of results.
Travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight travel.
Maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Territory includes TN, AL, GA, SC, NC, and FL; preferred candidate location is GA, SC, or TN.
Exhibit a strong “hunter” mentality with a focus on new account development.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in science or a related technical field required.
1-3 years of scientific sales experience.
Preferred Characteristics
Experience selling into the food testing or food processing industry.
Proven ability to carry and achieve an annual sales quota of $2M or greater.
Demonstrated success building relationships with large, strategic accounts.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated, energetic, and results-driven.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and retain technical information.

The annual compensation range for this full-time position is $69,000 to $103,000. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
