Job Description
Key responsibilities:
- Drive regional growth: Deliver annual volume, turnover, and margin budgets across Italy, Malta, and North Africa.
- Manage key accounts: Personally oversee business relationships, price negotiations, and projects with top 10 customers.
- Execute commercial strategy: Lead the Italian contribution to the 5-year plan, accelerating high-margin speciality product sales.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work with manufacturing and supply chain to balance customer service with operational costs.
- Utilize sales tech: Leverage Group CRM and reporting tools (DAN, QLIK) to harmonise and track global sales data.
What We’re Looking For
- Industry experience: Minimum 5 years of industrial sales experience, ideally within composites, personal care, or thickeners.
- Commercial acumen: Proven track record in industrial distribution, margin/profit principles, and complex sales data analysis.
- Communication & language: Fluent verbal and written communication in both Italian and English.
- Qualifications: Degree in Chemistry, Business, Marketing, or extensive equivalent commercial/sales experience.
- Mobility: Self-motivated and able to travel extensively across Italy, and occasionally to the UK, Europe, and Africa.
Desirable
- Language skills: Ability to speak French is highly advantageous.
- Advanced qualifications: An MBA or equivalent qualification.
